Lauren Tsai

Lauren Tsai is a multidisciplinary artist working through animation, illustration, directing and acting whose work is an exploration of themes such as escapism and fantasy. 

Lauren moved to Tokyo after high school for modeling and made her television debut on the Netflix series Terrace House: Aloha State. Since the show’s premiere, her career as an artist and illustrator took off with opportunities to design and create capsule collections with brands such as Marc Jacobs. 

She also published a personal sketchbook in 2018 called It's All For You with Seigensha as well as a second book in 2019. She recently has directed an animated music video for the band, boygenius. 

In addition, she helped develop a project with A24 as art director. Her current work focuses on animation and storytelling with a project in London and plans on blending animation and live-action. 

As an actress, Lauren can most recently be seen starring in the Netflix comedy feature Moxie directed by Amy Poehler and in the 3rd and final season of Noah Hawley’s FX series Legion. She has been in campaigns with brands including Nike, Revlon, and Shiseido.
